Welcome to Chiq AI Video Maker, a small studio in your pocket for bringing ideas to the screen. These Terms of Use are the ground rules for that studio. They form an agreement between you and Gunilla Bergqvist, the developer of the app. These terms are effective from 2026-10-20.

Saying yes by opening the app

By downloading, opening or using Chiq AI Video Maker, you agree to these terms. If they don't sit right with you, please don't use the app. These terms apply alongside Apple's standard terms for apps from the App Store.

Your permission to use the app

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Chiq AI Video Maker on Apple devices you own or control, for your own creative projects and self-expression, within the rules set by the App Store. You may not copy, resell, reverse-engineer or redistribute the app, or try to get around its features or paid access.

Creating with care

Explore freely, but don't use the app to create or share anything unlawful, harmful, harassing, hateful or sexually exploitative. Don't use it to deceive people by impersonating real individuals or to infringe anyone else's rights, including copyright, trademark, privacy or likeness. Only upload media you have the right to use. Don't try to overload, disrupt or gain unauthorised access to our backend. We may limit or stop access if the app is being misused.

What's yours and what's ours

You keep ownership of the prompts and media you bring, and of the videos you create with the app, to the extent the law allows. You're responsible for how you use and share them. You give us permission to process your content only as needed to generate and deliver your videos. The app itself, including its design, name, software and features, belongs to Gunilla Bergqvist and is protected by intellectual property laws. These terms don't transfer any of it to you.

Subscriptions, billing and cancelling

Paid features are offered through Apple In-App Purchase. Apple handles all billing. Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your Apple ID is charged for each renewal. You can manage or cancel a subscription at any time in your Apple ID subscription settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Refunds are decided by Apple under its own policies.

About AI results

AI-generated videos can be surprising, imperfect or not quite what you pictured. That's part of the adventure, but it means results may vary. Please review your creations before relying on or sharing them.

No guarantees

The app is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of results, or uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Limits on our liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Gunilla Bergqvist is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data, content or profits, that arise from your use of the app or the content you create. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

When these terms change

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the effective date. If you continue using the app after a change, you accept the updated terms.
