Privacy Policy

Chiq AI Video Maker is a place to turn ideas into moving pictures: a personal project, a passing thought, a small piece of self-expression. This Privacy Policy explains, in plain words, what happens to your information while you create. The app is provided by Gunilla Bergqvist ("we", "us"). This policy is effective from 2026-10-20.

The short version

There is no sign-up and no account. We don't ask for your name, email address or password. To make your videos, we process what you choose to send us, such as your prompts and any media you add. Payments are handled by Apple. Adapty helps us know whether your subscription is active. That's the core of it, and the sections below fill in the details.

What we don't collect

Because Chiq AI Video Maker has no user accounts or sign-in, we don't collect a profile about you. We don't ask for your name, email address, phone number or login details. We never see or store your payment card details. Apple handles those.

What passes through the app

When you create something, the app sends what you give it to our backend so the video can be made. That can include your text prompts, any images or other media you choose to upload, and the generated results. To support purchases and subscriptions, limited technical information connected to your purchases, such as transaction and subscription status, is also processed through Apple and Adapty as described below.

Where your videos are made

Generations run on our own backend, operated by the developer. We don't use an outside AI provider to process your creations. Your prompts and media are used to produce the video you asked for and to deliver it back to you in the app.

Who else is involved, and why

Two third-party services play a part. Apple App Store: distributes the app and processes all purchases and subscriptions through Apple In-App Purchase. Apple's own privacy policy applies to the information Apple handles. Adapty: when used, it tracks subscription status and provides subscription analytics, so the app knows what you've unlocked and we can understand how subscriptions are working overall. Adapty processes this information under its own privacy terms. We don't sell your personal data to anyone.

Paying for more creative room

Every purchase and subscription is handled by Apple through In-App Purchase. Apple manages billing, renewals and refunds under its own terms. We receive confirmation of what you've purchased, not your payment details. When Adapty is in use, it keeps track of your subscription status and related analytics on our behalf.

How long we keep things

We keep the content you submit and the videos we generate only as long as we need them to create and deliver your video and to keep the service running properly. After that, we delete them. Purchase and subscription records held by Apple or Adapty are kept according to their own retention practices.

Your rights and choices

You can ask us what personal data we hold about you and ask us to delete it. Because there are no accounts, please include enough detail, such as roughly when you made a generation, so we can find the right information. You can also stop using the app at any time and delete it from your device. To manage or cancel a subscription, use your Apple ID subscription settings.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, we'll update this policy and its effective date. If you keep using the app after an update, the new version applies.
